Wednesday, the Preventive Security Department arrested an individual for vandalizing ancient ruins in Jerash, in an incident that provoked angry responses towards such actions against Jordan’s history.

Media spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate stated that the Preventive Security personnel had investigated the incident, until they were able to identify the suspect and arrest him, pointing out that the investigation started the minute the report was received.
