The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs warned against the Israeli occupation authorities' displacing the Palestinians of Yatta, Hebron, and proceeding with plans to build 3,988 settlement units in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The official spokesman for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, stressed that the settlement expansion is a flagrant and grave breach of international law and resolutions of international legitimacy, foremost of which is Security Council Resolution No. 2334.

The official spokesman of the ministry stressed that the settlement policy, whether building or expanding settlements, confiscating land or displacing Palestinians, is an illegal, rejected, a condemned policy and a unilateral step that represents a violation of international law, and undermines the foundations of peace, efforts to resolve the conflict, and achieve comprehensive and just peace and the chances of a two-state solution on the the basis of international legitimacy resolutions.
