190,000 visitors to Jordan's tourist sites during first three days of Eid al-Fitr holiday

Around 190,000 people visited Jordan's archaeological and tourist sites during Eid al-Fitr during the first three days of the Eid al-Fitr holiday.

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities Ahmad al-Rifae told Jordan News Agency (Petra) Thursday that Jordan has witnessed active tourist movement during the vacation, adding that the ministry developed a work plan for the Eid holiday, which included organizing field tours.

He said that the ministry prepared shift programs in archaeological and public sites, and set up a suitable tourist environment to receive guests and visitors, noting the relevant authorities were fully prepared to provide services to tourists and visitors during their stay.

April 24, Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh announced the Eid al-Fitr holiday dates. The holiday took place from Monday, May 2 until the evening of Thursday, May 5.

Monday, May 2, was declared the first day of Eid al-Fitr in Jordan.
