Thursday, Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned allowing extremists to storm the Al-Aqsa Mosque under the protection of the Israeli Occupation police.

Spokesperson for the ministry, Ambassador Haitham Abu Al-Ful, stressed that Al-Aqsa Mosque with its entire area of 144 dunums, is a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and the visit for non-Muslims must be organized by Jerusalem Islamic Waqf which is affiliated with the Jordanian Ministry of Awqaf Islamic Affairs and Holy Places as it is the legal authority with exclusive jurisdiction to manage all the affairs of the mosque and to regulate entry to it.

The spokesperson also called on Tel Aviv, as the occupying power, to stop all practices and violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, respect its sanctity, stop all measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo, and respect the authority of Jerusalem Islamic Waqf.
