Around 160,000 worshipers performed the fourth and last Friday prayer of Ramadan at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to the Jerusalem Islamic Waqf.

The prayer took place amid a state of tension following clashes that occurred hours earlier in the compound between worshipers and the Israeli Occupation forces (IOF).

The clashes took place after the IOF stormed the mosque's courtyards, which lasted for two hours and resulted in 42 injuries.
