The high tourism movement in Petra has increased hotel’s occupancy rates by over 70 percent, said the head of the Petra tourism hotel owners syndicate Tariq Al-Twaisi.

There are 45 licensed hotels in Petra with over 3,500 hotel rooms, according to Twaisi.
