According to a source at the Ifta' Department, the crescent moon of the Holy month of Ramadan will be sighted next Friday, which falls on the 29th of Shaban 1443 AH - corresponding to April 1, 2022 on the Gregorian calendar.

The results of the monitoring will be announced after sunset on Friday.

Notably, last year, there were no events accompanying the announcement, in line with government and preventive measures not to gather to limit the spread of the coronavirus.
