Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky Saturday criticized Russia for what he described as threatening the world with its nuclear weapons.
Zelensky said in a speech broadcast on the first day of the Doha Forum in Qatar on Saturday: "Russia is deliberately bragging that it can destroy it with nuclear weapons, not only a specific country but the entire planet."
He also indicated that Muslims in Ukraine will have to fight during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that his country is diverse, with more than one million Muslims.
"We must ensure that the misery of the people in Ukraine does not overshadow the holy month of Ramadan," he said, adding, "We want peace, work together, and ensure that the holy month of Ramadan is without suffering for Ukrainians."
Zelensky accused Moscow of political repression of the Crimean population, including Muslims.
In his speech on Saturday, Zelensky criticized the ongoing Russian war on his country, and called on the United Nations and world powers to help him.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, at a conference in Doha Saturday, called on Qatar to increase the production of its energy resources, especially gas, to compensate for Russian energy resources in the European market and others.
"I am asking you to increase energy production to make sure that everyone in Russia understands that no country can use energy as a weapon," he added.
