Under royal directives, the third plane of the Royal Jordanian Air Force took off Friday morning, heading to the Polish capital, Warsaw, in order to evacuate around 75 Jordanian citizens and their families, who crossed the border to it from Ukraine, most of them from the city of Sumy.

The Crisis Cell at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates continued to coordinate with the various Jordanian authorities concerned, including the General Command of the Armed Forces/ the Royal Air Force Command, the National Center for Security and Crisis Management, the Jordanian Embassy in Germany (accredited to Poland), and the Ministry’s employees present in Warsaw and at a number of border crossings separating Ukraine and Poland.

This was done for the purpose of organizing and facilitating the departure of Jordanian citizens and their families from Warsaw to the Kingdom, and they are expected to arrive Friday afternoon.

The plane was accompanied by an ambassador from the ministry, to coordinate and facilitate the evacuation and transport process in coordination with the embassy in Berlin.

Notably, under royal directives, two military planes from the Royal Jordanian Air Force were flown to Bucharest and Budapest, last week, to evacuate 140 Jordanians and their families from Ukraine.
