KEPCO Group in Jordan determined to maintain standards of health, safety
On Feb. 28 and March 2, 2022, KEPCO Group in Jordan held an official campaign attended by a group of officials and employees from KEPCO Companies in Jordan. KEPCO Group in Jordan includes Qatrana Electric Power Company, Amman Asia Electric Power Company, Fujeij Wind Power Company, KEPCO Plant Service and Engineering Company (KPS) and Korea Southern Power Company (KOSPO). The ceremonies were held to highlight the efforts made by KEPCO group in applying international standards of health and safety during its industrial operations in generating electric power.
At the commencement of the ceremonies, the safety officials of KEPCO Group pledged to prevent various industrial accidents that may occur in the workplace and to create a safe and happy workplace. They clarified that this can manifest through spreading safety principles and practices among employees, as well as improving the work environment to reduce the possibility of any accidents to continue the remarkable record of zero accidents.
KEPCO in Jordan seeks to spread more awareness of health and safety, due to the Group’s belief that employees are its main asset. KEPCO believes that maintaining employees’ health and safety is the Group’s most important priority. Moreover, the Group aims to consider each employee as a safety ambassador among the Jordanian society to promote health and safety practices in all aspects of life.
KEPCO Group in Jordan covers around 20% of the Kingdom's electrical power needs, through the generation of electricity from fossil fuel and wind by KEPCO’s power plants, and the majority of employees working in the power plants are highly qualified Jordanians.
