Sunday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the suicide bombing in the Republic of Somalia, which resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.

The ministry expressed its solidarity with the Somali people, and offered its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.

The ministry also wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

The bombing on Saturday targeted a restaurant in Beledwyne town, 340 kilometers north of Mogadishu-central Somalia, and claimed the lives of 14 people including local officials. Two officials were among the dead.

Al-Shabaab terror group has claimed resposibility for the attack, according to police.
