The Civil Aviation Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain announced the cancellation of PCR testing upon arrival at Bahrain International Airport for all travelers coming to the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the precautionary quarantine, as of Sunday.

The German authorities announced the lifting of most of the coronavirus restrictions in the country as of March 20, in a decision that coincides with similar moves in neighboring Austria and Switzerland to cancel most of the pandemic restrictions.

Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the governors of the sixteen states in the country adopted a three-step plan, while official statistics showed a decline in coronavirus cases.

"The peak is probably exceeded now," Schultz said, expecting "the situation to continue to improve" in the coming weeks.

The easing of restrictions begins with the abolition of rules that prevent entry to non-essential stores without proof of obtaining the vaccine or recovering from coronavirus, as well as the abolition of restrictions on private gatherings of vaccine recipients.

Starting from March 4, the conditions for entering restaurants and bars will be eased, as it will be sufficient to show a negative test instead of having proof of the vaccine or recovery, in addition to an examination or obtaining a booster dose. Nightclubs will be allowed to reopen, but with entry restrictions.
