Jordan records 22 deaths and 21,460 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 22 deaths and 21,460 new coronavirus cases Thursday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,417,890.

The death toll has risen to 13,431.

The cases are:

-8,676 in Amman

-3,303 in Zarqa

-3,058 in Irbid

-1,651 in Balqa

-1,374 in Karak

-727 in Mafraq

-708 in Ajloun

-485 in Madaba

-462 in Jerash

-402 in Aqaba

-338 in Tafilah

-193 in Ma'an

-53 in Petra 

-32 in Ramtha

A total 276 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 197 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 1,232 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 187,347 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 72,951 PCR tests were conducted.

Thursday, 29.42 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 30.82 percent Wednesday.
