The Airport International Group (AIG) confirmed the activation of a plan to deal with the current weather conditions in the Kingdom, in response to the snowfall that started at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) around 3am and continued until 6am Thursday.

The AIG added in a statement that the operations and maintenance staff of the group are removing the snow around the clock in order to reduce the accumulation of snow.

The AIG indicated that 11 departure flights have been delayed so far by the concerned airlines in order to give travelers more time to arrive at the airport.

The group called on passengers and visitors to QAIA to exercise caution when driving on the airport road during the snowstorm.

It urged passengers to be at the airport at least three hours before the plane's take-off time, calling to verify the details of their flights through the relevant airlines, or by calling 065002777.
