Jordan records highest daily COVID-19 cases since beginning of pandemic

Jordan recorded 15 deaths and 11,478 new coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,152,526.

The toll has risen to 13,088.

The cases are:

-5,993 in Amman

-1,595 in Zarqa

-1,212 in Irbid

-963 in Balqa

-314 in Mafraq

-298 in Madaba

-280 in Jerash

-256 in Karak

-226 in Ajloun

-195 in Aqaba

-121 in Ma'an

-18 in Tafilah

-Seven in Ramtha

A total 158 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 107 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 714 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 49,357 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 49,956 PCR tests were conducted.

Monday, 22.98 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 19.54 percent Sunday.
