The spokesperson for the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs (CDA) Hassan Abd Rabbo confirmed Sunday that the health condition of the prisoner, Nasser Abu Hamid, from Al-Amari camp in Ramallah, remains critical.

He noted that the doctors kept him in a hypnotic state, due to the inability of his body to excrete the fluids that accumulate in his lungs.

Abd Rabbo added that the Israeli Occupation authorities prevented the family of the prisoner Abu Hamid and the Red Cross crews, and any other party from visiting him.

Abd Rabbo warned of Abu Hamid’s possible death, calling on the international community, human rights organizations and the Red Cross to immediately intervene to save his life.

Naji Abu Hamid, brother of the captive Nasser Abu Hamid, said earlier that his brother's health condition is very serious, and he has not recovered from the coma yet.

Naji added to Roya’s Akhbar Al Sabe’a earlier that the family and human rights organizations submitted a request to the Israeli Occupation Prison Service to visit him at Barzilai Hospital. However, Israeli Occupation authorities did not respond.

Abu Hamid indicated that his brother is 50 years old, and he spent a total of 35 years of his life in the Israeli Occupation’s prisons.

Abu Hamid was the commander-in-chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, and he is from Al-Amari camp in Ramallah. Abu Hamid has five brothers who were sentenced to life in prison by the Israeli Occupation, four of them were arrested in 2002 and one in 2018.

He also had a sixth brother who was killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF), Abdel Moneim Abu Hamid.

The rest of the family was arrested, and their mother was prohibited from visiting them for years, and they lost their father during the years of their detention.

Additionally, the family’s house was demolished five times, the last of which was in 2019.
