Friday, Jan. 21, the Orthodox Church celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany. On this occasion, the annual pilgrimage ceremonies were held for all subjects, which included a celebration of the divine liturgy at the Baptism Site on the East Bank of the Jordan River.

The service was presided over by His Eminence, Archbishop Christophoros, with the participation of priests and deacons, in the presence of diplomats, ministers, official and public figures, amid active participation of Orthodox scout groups, members of the youth and the faithful from the various subjects of the Kingdom.

At the end, His Eminence established a service of sanctifying water, blessing the attendees, then dipped the Holy Cross in the river, as usual, to sanctify it, and released the white dove, symbol of the Holy Spirit, which hovered over the waters of the Jordan River when the Lord Christ was baptized.
