Tuesday, a member of the National Epidemics Committee, Dr. Muhannad Al-Nsour, said that the committee recommended that the second semester be moved to Feb. 20.

Nsour added that since the beginning of 2022, there has been an increase in the number of infections and the PCR positivity rate, which is an indication that Jordan may enter with a fourth wave of COVID-19.

Nsour concluded that 50 percent of the daily infections with COVID in Jordan are from Omicron.
