The Director of Tests and Examination Department at the Ministry of Education, Mohammed Kinana, said that the decision to postpone the start of the second semester includes all schools in Jordan (public and private), except for schools with international programs.

The Ministry of Education decided to postpone the start of the second semester of the academic year 2021/2022 for school students for grades between kindergarten and the eleventh grade to Feb. 20, provided that the twelfth grade (orientation) is on time and ready to start on Feb. 1, 2022.

In regards to schools with international programs; they are free to choose between adhering to the national school program in terms of the start and end date of the semester, or starting distance education according to its school calendar until Feb. 20, 2022, and then starting in-person education.

The ministry indicated, in a statement that Roya received a copy of, that this decision comes due to the circumstances of the pandemic in Jordan as well as the world.
