Head of the Amman Municipality Committee, Dr. Yousef Al-Shawarbeh, said that there may be closures for a number of high bridges in the event of freezing in order to preserve public safety.

Al-Shawarbeh praised the efforts of emergency workers and the cooperation of citizens during a meeting held this evening, Saturday, in the main emergency room in Tla’ Al-Ali, in the presence of the city director.

Shawarbeh stressed the importance of continuing the work during the next two days with a high level of readiness and morale in the service of the capital and the citizens.

He stressed the necessity of maintaining roads, especially in such circumstances, following up on infrastructure works for high-frequency bus projects, ensuring the readiness of roads and traffic lights, especially when freezing occurs, and not moving large machinery in such circumstances in order to preserve the safety of workers, calling for ensuring that emergency workers are provided.

In addition, the Director of Maintenance in the Municipality of Amman, Engineer Walid Al-Amoush, confirmed that all roads in the capital, Amman, are passable and there are no closures.

Al-Amoush said in his speech to the Roya news bulletin Saturday that all traffic lights in the capital work regularly, and there is no disruption to them.
