Jordan records 17 deaths and 2,789 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 17 deaths and 2,789 new coronavirus cases Monday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,082,570.

The death toll has risen to 12,893.

The cases are:

-1,741 in Amman

-295 in Zarqa

-235 in Irbid 

-106 in Balqa

-98 in Mafraq

-65 in Madaba

-61 in Jerash

-48 in Ajloun

-45 in Karak

-38 in Aqaba 

-27 in Ramtha

-17 in Ma'an

-13 in Tafilah

A total 94 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 98 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 666 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 27,678 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 40,424 PCR tests were conducted.

Monday, 6.90 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 6.91 percent Sunday.
