Jordan records 21 deaths and 2,033 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 21 deaths and 2,033 new coronavirus cases Friday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,076,040.

The death toll has risen to 12,831.

The cases are:

-1,065 in Amman

-250 in Irbid

-234 in Zarqa

-133 in Balqa

-87 in Mafraq

-66 in Madaba

-59 in Jerash

-44 in Ramtha

-30 in Aqaba

-30 in Ajloun

-18 in Karak

-12 in Ma'an

-Five in Tafilah

A total 95 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 86 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 719 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 25,783 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 37,481 PCR tests were conducted.

Friday, 5.42 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 5.92 percent Thursday.
