Friday, Ma'an residents protested against the privatization of the Ma'an Water Directorate and its transfer to the Aqaba Water Company (Miyahuna).

In conjunction with the demonstration that was carried out after Friday prayers in front of the Great Mosque of Maan, other demonstrations were held in the villages of the governorate.

The participants were against the privatization and they said that water bills are high in Aqaba.
