Jordan records 26 deaths and 2,288 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 26 deaths and 2,288 new coronavirus cases Wednesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 1,071,837.

The death toll has risen to 12,791.

The cases are:

-1,282 in Amman

-326 in Irbid

-218 in Zarqa

-160 in Balqa

-69 in Mafraq

-57 in Karak

-41 in Madaba

-35 in Aqaba

-32 in Jerash

-28 in Ajloun

-14 in Ramtha

-13 in Tafilah

-13 in Ma'an

A total 86 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 97 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 745 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 26,123 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 41,048 PCR tests were conducted.

Wednesday, 5.57 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 5.65 percent Tuesday.
