In a very rare incident, twins in Salinas, California were born just 15 minutes apart, yet their birthdays fall on different years.

Aylin Yolanda Trujillo was delivered at Natividad medical center at 12am on Jan. 1, 2022. However, her brother, Alfredo Antonio Trujillo, had arrived 15 minutes before her, at 11:45pm on Dec. 31, 2021.

Their mother said “It’s crazy to me that they are twins and have different birthdays.”

“I was surprised and happy that she arrived at midnight.”

Aylin was the first baby born in Monterey county in 2022.
