Lebanese authorities seized a shipment of the stimulant drug Captagon hidden inside a case of fake oranges at the Beirut port, according to Lebanese Interior Minister Bassam Mawlawi.

An investigation has been opened to determine the source of the shipment. Lebanon has recently boosted efforts to thwart captagon trafficking through its ports following criticism from Gulf countries over lack of cooperation in this domain.
