Sources indicated that a number of dentists’ clinics have turned into beauty centers for Botox and Fillers in a manner that violates the law and the basis of the license granted to them.

Additionally, some sources noted that there are nurses, pharmacists and doctors who work in the beauty industry and hair removal services in beauty centers without obtaining a license.

Dr. Maysam Arkush, a spokesperson for the Jordan Medical Association (JMA), said that the JMA set instructions, however, they do not have the ability to stop violators, but rather they assign the supervision department in the Ministry of Health to do so.

She added that the JMA had received complaints about plastic surgeries, hair removal and Botox procedures going wrong, calling on citizens to avoid going to unlicensed clinics.
