France records 100,000 cases in past 24 hours

Saturday, France crossed the threshold of 100,000 cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, in a record number for the country, whose government is conducting a reassessment of the epidemiological situation on Monday.

France recorded 104,611 new infections in the past 24 hours, in an unprecedented toll in the country since the outbreak of the pandemic on its soil in March 2020, according to figures published on Saturday by the French Public Health Directorate.

On the fourth of December, the country crossed the threshold of 50,000 cases of Covid-19, according to the data of the Health Authority.
