His Majesty King Abdullah II Saturday sent a cable of congratulations to president of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Yunus al-Menfi, on the occasion of his country's independence day.

In the telegram, His Majesty expressed, in his name and on behalf of the people and government of Jordan, his warm congratulations on this occasion, wishing the head of the Presidential Council good health and the brotherly people of Libya further progress and prosperity.
