For the first time, TikTok surpassed Facebook and Google and became the most popular destination on the internet, according to an IT security company, Cloudflare.

According to Cloudflare’s analysis of web traffic in 2021, TikTok was the most visited website and most widely used social media platform.

Notably, Cloudflare's ranking is based on how much web traffic a site generated in 2021.

In 2020, Google was first, and a number of sites including TikTok, Amazon, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft and Netflix were all in the top 10.

TikTok is a video-focused social networking service owned by Chinese company ByteDance.
