Friday, the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Authority Haitham Misto stressed the need for those arriving to Jordan to bring a negative PCR test result conducted 72 hours before their arrival to the Kingdom. This decision includes everyone, whether they are vaccinated or not.

However, children under the age of five are excluded from this decision.

Misto added that all those arriving to the Kingdom from abroad will be required to register on the Visit Jordan platform to obtain a personal QR code. He also stressed the need for non-Jordanians to bring travel insurance.

If an individual conducts a PCR test and it comes back positive, Misto said that the individual will be subjected to home-quarantine for a period of 14 days and take another PCR test on the 14th day of the quarantine at their own expense.

He also said that only Jordanians are allowed to enter the Kingdom from South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Namibia and Botswana, provided that they adhere to institutional-quarantine at their own expense for a period of 14 days. However, non-Jordanians are not allowed to come from these countries until they spend 14 days in another country that is not one of the above-mentioned countries.

He lastly stressed that these decisions apply on everyone.
