Jordan participated in the regional conference on victims of human trafficking, which kicked off in Tunis on Wednesday.

The conference, organized by the National Authority to Combat Human Trafficking (INLTP), is supported by the European Union (EU) and the Council of Europe.

The conference is held on the occasion of the launch of the National Mechanism for Victims of Human Trafficking, under the theme of strengthening regional cooperation in the field of human rights, rule of law and democracy, which is the first of its kind in North Africa and the Middle East and was implemented within the framework of a joint program to support independent bodies in Tunisia by the EU.

The conference aims to exchange expertise and cooperation between Jordan and participating countries, as well as learning about the referral mechanism for victims, and the roles of various involved parties.
