Saturday, Bahrain detected the first case of the new COVID variant, Omicron, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
The new case involved an individual who recently arrived in the Kingdom from a foreign country. The person has been isolated and the necessary health protocols have been implemented.
Thursday, the Jordanian Ministry of Health announced the registration of the first two cases of the new COVID variant, Omicron, in Jordan.
One of the cases involved a Jordanian who recently arrived from South Africa. The individual is now isolated in a hotel in Amman for a period of 14 days.
The second case involved a Jordanian who has no recent travel history outside of Jordan, and he was also subjected to institutional-quarantine in Amman. Investigations have been launched to look into the case.
