The court issued its verdict in the third session of the trial of the accused who deliberately beheaded a citizen and attempted to kill two others in the middle of a public street in Ismailia.

Last Monday, the court held the second session of the trial, wherein the defense of the Public Prosecution and the victims were heard in addition to the eyewitnesses’ testimonies.

When the accused was asked about the perpetration of the crime he simply replied by saying he “did not do it.”

The Ismailia Court first heard the statements of the representative of the Public Prosecution in the case, Mustafa Ahmed Zekra, who demanded that the accused be given the maximum penalty for committing three crimes, namely killing the victim and attempting to kill two others, as well as possessing and using a cold weapon without any legal justification.
