The Ministry of Higher Education announced Saturday evening that those wishing to enter a university campus in Jordan in 2022 must be fully vaccinated, according to Petra News Agency.
The media spokesman for the ministry, Muhannad Al-Khatib, said that no faculty member, administrator or student will be allowed to enter the university campus unless he/she has received two doses of a coronavirus vaccine, noting that the defense order excludes people who did not receive two doses of the vaccine for medical reasons.
Alternatively, a PCR test conducted within 72 hours must be displayed upon entry to the university.
The decision includes both public and private universities and goes into effect on Jan. 1 2022.
