Saturday, a student at the Arab American University in Jenin was killed after a fight erupted between a number of students.

The Palestinian Amad news agency quoted local sources as saying that three students were injured as a result of a quarrel that occurred on the university campus.

They were transferred to Al-Razi Hospital, and later it was announced the death of one of them.

The sources stated that the student, later identified as Imran Khaliliya, 21, was from the village of Jaba.

The Student Council decided to suspend attendance and operations at the university until further notice.

Investigations have been launched.
