Mafraq Civil Defense cadres managed to control a fire that broke out in a shop in Mafraq, according to Roya’s correspondent Monday.

Roya's correspondent indicated that the fire was limited to material damage, without causing any human casualties.

Two days ago, a person of Arab nationality died as a result of a fire that broke out at dawn inside a carpet and rug showroom in Zarqa Governorate.

The spokesperson for the Public Security Directorate said that the firefighting teams in the Zarqa Civil Defense Directorate, with the support of the civil defense directorates in central and eastern Amman, Mafraq and Zarqa police, dealt with a fire that broke out inside a three-storey carpet and rug showroom with an estimated area of 1,000 m2 in the governorate.

The deceased died after suffering from severe burns throughout the body, according to the spokesperson.

The ambulance teams rushed him to Zarqa Governmental Hospital, while the firefighting teams worked to put out the fire and control it to prevent its spread to neighboring places, which resulted in an escalation Dense smoke due to the nature of the combustible materials

An investigation was launched to determine the cause of the fire.
