The media spokesperson for the Ministry of Education and Director of Public Education, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masafah, Saturday confirmed that in-person education continues in Jordan.

Speaking to the Nabd Al-Balad program, Al-Masafa said that face-to-face education in Jordan is continuing, and final exams are taking place in-person.

He pointed out that there is a noticeable increase in coronavirus cases among school students, stressing that the epidemiological situation in schools is under control but calls for more commitment.

Al-Masafa indicated that the percentage of active cases among school students and educational and teaching cadres reached eight per thousand, while it reached seven per thousand among school students.

He added that the percentage of people who switched to distance education in Jordan's schools was three per thousand, noting that three schools were transferred last week to distance learning.

Al-Musafa stressed that distance education is an option of necessity, and face-to-face education is indispensable because it is the basis of learning.
