EMA approves use of Pfizer vaccine for ages 5-11

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) announced on Thursday the approval of the Pfizer vaccine for children between the ages of five and 11, paving the way for the start of vaccination for this category in the European Union.

The EMA said in a statement that a group of experts "recommended the approval of expanding the use of the Pfizer vaccine against COVID-19 to include its administration to children aged between five and 11."
