Jordan records 16 deaths and 1,855 new coronavirus cases

Jordan recorded 18 deaths and 1,855 new coronavirus cases Saturday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 911,270.

The death toll has risen to 11,347.

The cases are:

-671 in Amman

-382 in Irbid 

-190 in Zarqa

-104 in Ajloun

-97 in Ramtha

-81 in Mafraq

-74 in Balqa

-62 in Karak

-62 in Madaba

-49 in Jerash

-31 in Ma'an

-24 in Tafilah

-22 in Aqaba

-Six in Petra

A total 138 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 79 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 845 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 37,563 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 22,799 PCR tests were conducted.

Saturday, 8.14 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 8.41 percent Friday.
