Saturday, member of the National Committee for Pharmacovigilance and coronavirus vaccines Dirar Balaawi told Roya that returning to COVID-19 closures depends on the coronavirus situation in the Kingdom.

Balaawi added that the epidemiological situation requires more caution, calling on citizens to adhere to the required health measures and receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Regarding the booster dose of the vaccine, Balaawi explained that the antibodies begin to decrease after 6-8 months, especially for those over the age of 65 and patients who suffer from chronic diseases, calling on them to take the booster dose

Nov. 10, the National Committee for Epidemics announced that the third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine will be offered to ages 18 and above, given that at least six months have passed following their second dose of the vaccine.

Friday, Jordan recorded 21 deaths and 3,677 new coronavirus cases.

During this week, Jordan recorded a total of 20,980 new infections with the coronavirus, in addition to 134 deaths, constituting the worst epidemic week in terms of case numbers in five months.
