A man was assaulted in Amman by unidentified individuals with a sharp object and had his nerves completely damaged in three of his fingers, reported a security source Monday.

According to the man, who works two jobs, the assault happened when he was on duty in his second job as a food delivery employee.

A security source said in a statement to Roya, that "a man working to deliver a food order was attacked at dawn today in the Marj Al-Hamam area with a sharp object by a number of people."

The source added that no money was taken from the victim.

The man spoke to Roya in an exclusive interview and said that he had two surgeries done on his hand in order to fully restore his nerve function and the second surgery was a success.

He was worried of losing both of his jobs since he would not have been able to use his fingers if the second surgery had not succeeded.
