The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates has warned the Israeli Occupation authorities against construction of new settlement units in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The official spokesperson for the ministry Haitham Abu Al-Ful said that moving forward with the approval of the implementation of a plan to build 3,000 new settlement units is a condemned step, and it represents a violation of international law and relevant Security Council resolutions, stressing that the Israeli Occupation settlement policy in the occupied Palestinian territories, whether building or expanding settlements or the confiscation of land or the displacement of Palestinians, is an illegitimate and illegal policy that undermines calm efforts and the chances of a two-state solution and the achievement of a comprehensive and just peace.
