Jordan records 1597 new coronavirus cases, eight deaths
Jordan records 1597 new coronavirus cases, eight deaths

Jordan recorded eight deaths and 1,597 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of cases since the beginning of the crisis to 844,801.

The death toll has risen to 10,895.

The cases are:

- 720 in Amman

- 312 in Irbid

- 123 in Zarqa

- 70 in Balqa

- 54 in Aqaba

- 57 in Ajloun

- 45 in Mafraq

- 37 in Ma'an

- 46 in Madaba

- 41 in Karak

- 30 in Jerash

- 36 in Tafilah

- 16 in Ramtha

- 10 in Petra

A total of 98 cases have been admitted to the hospitals, and 66 have been discharged upon recovery.

There are 516 patients receiving treatment in hospitals.

There are a total of 16,229 active COVID-19 cases.

A total of 31,400 PCR tests were conducted.

Tuesday, 5.09 percent of PCR tests came back positive in comparison to 5.32 percent Monday.
