Jordan condemns terrorist attack on Kunduz mosque

Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates extended its condolences over the victims of a suicide bombing that targeted a mosque in Afghanistan's Province of Kunduz, which killed and injured dozens of worshipers.

Ministry’s spokesperson Haitham Abu Al Foul voiced the Kingdom's strong condemnation and denunciation of all forms of terrorism, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

Friday, a blast targeted a mosque in the Afghani city Kunduz during prayers, according to the spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior in Afghanistan.

Interior ministry spokesperson, Qari Sayed Khosti, confirmed the blast to AFP but no further details were given.

Local residents told AFP the blast hit a Shiite mosque during Friday prayers, the most important of the week.

Reports indicated that at least 50 were killed during the blast and many more left injured.
