Friday, the former Minister of Health, Walid Al-Maani, said the epidemiological curve in Jordan is ‘worrying.’ He wrote on his official Twitter account that the number of coronavirus cases as of Friday evening are worrying.

Maani said that there has been an increase in the weekly number of COVID-19 cases by nearly 10 percent.

However, he noted that Jordan still needs three weeks in order to determine the stability of the COVID-19 curve in the Kingdom.

He lastly called on citizens to adhere to preventive measures and receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Jordan has confirmed 831,832 cases and 10,789 deaths.
