The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates expressed its deepest condolences and sincere sympathy to the government and people of the Republic of Tunisia after three soldiers were killed during a crash of a military helicopter in the state of Gabes.

Three Tunisian soldiers were killed on Tuesday evening in an army helicopter crash during a night exercise in the southern province of Gabes, according to the Ministry of Defense.

"The three soldiers who were on board a military helicopter were all killed in this incident," ministry spokesperson Mohamed Zakri told AFP.

He added that a "technical" investigation had been opened to determine the reasons that led to the crash.
