Thursday, the embassy of the Israeli Occupation was inaugurated at a ceremony in the Bahraini capital, Manama

The Bahraini Minister of Foreign Affairs,  Abdul Latif Al-Zayani, and his counterpart, Yair Lapid, held a joint press conference in Manama.

The Foreign Minister, Yair Lapid, called this a “major, historical step today in the Gulf” for the Israeli Occupation.

Earlier Thursday, Lapid arrived in Bahrain on the first official visit by an Israeli Occupation minister after the agreement to normalize relations between the two countries last year.

During the meeting, 5 memoranda of understanding were signed, including cooperation agreements between hospitals and water and electricity companies.

The two sides agreed to prepare a joint action plan to determine the priorities of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and to follow up on what is agreed upon to advance bilateral relations and develop joint cooperation in a number of fields.

Direct flights between Manama and Tel Aviv - operated by Gulf Air - officially launched on Thursday.
