Monday evening, a young Lebanese man, who was seriously injured in the Beirut Port explosion last year, died about 14 months after the accident.

Ibrahim Harb, a 35-year-old accountant, was in his office in the city center, near the port, when the explosion occurred and destroyed the port as well as nearby neighborhoods.

According to local reports, Harb was heading home after he finished work, before the explosion shook the heart of the capital, leaving him bloodied on the road.

After a long journey to recovery, Harb only opened his eyes and could not speak or interact with his family.

He was taken home to complete his recovery process when his condition worsened again, and he was transferred back to the hospital last week until he died Monday evening, joining the list of victims of the port explosion.

According to the figures, this brings the death toll from the explosion to at least 215 people.
