Monday, the Amman Court of Appeals issued a ruling in the case of former Minister of Public Works and Housing, Sami Halaseh.

The ruling stated that he was not responsible for the felony of function exploitation. He was, however, convicted of job negligence.

The former minister was sentenced to imprisonment for one month and a JD 500 fine in addition to JD 161,942.

The Court of Appeals also rejected the non-responsibility of the remaining appellants for what was attributed to them.
